KT still awaiting name of independent party to carry out annual audit (SP to nominate) of accounts, prior to AGM – BM may know of someone who would look over the accounts if needed. To d/w KT.

Fund Raising Team Publicity:

YANSET (Yanley & North Somerset Environmental Company) rejected our bid (for new play equipment) as this time round they had a lot of applications and wanted to share the money available further. BM to check to see if we can reapply to meet the next deadline.

Heritage Bid
Heritage Lottery Fund terms and conditions have changed and RF believes that BCC have already put a bit in for Eastville Park. He didn’t think they would look favourably on another bid going forward in the same month so will investigate the next application deadline. BM to discuss with RF possibility of using bid content for other bid applications.

JF to now investigate as a source of funding.

Other Fundraising Opportunities:
BM to look into applying for Quartet Community Foundation (grass roots) £5k. JF to investigate Wessex Water funding opportunities.

BM to chase Claire Adams (CA) (community park manager (east)) results of the risk assessment.

Bench(es and Bins!
JN to chase CA / Peter Wilkinson (Parks service manager) for a date when these will be fitted.

Webmaster fee increase from Jan 2009 - APAG committee members have agreed via email that this was acceptable.

Agreed via email/with SPe that if 3 committee members agreed then, items could be uploaded without needing SPe approval.

Short summary of who the committee members were/positions held – nothing received by JF so shall send summary of what done previously for AGM.

Youth links: Position Vacant still

Youth links: Position Vacant still
APAG still keen to investigate the feasibility of a youth focus day but agreed weather needs to improve! JF still to investigate costs of mobile skate park.

Cemetery links / development: PM

Cemetery links / development: Peter Main (PM)


RS feedback that the Cemetery Trust had agreed to divert the fence line, allowing park users to access the natural pond from the park. They are awaiting approval from BCC and English Heritage to confirm this. KT/BT confirmed that there had been an orchard in the woodland behind. The cemetery trust have asked for a meeting to discuss proper signage. Funding may be possible through the heritage bid (if we are successful). BM to contact RS re meeting to discuss funding sources and cost of signage.

Environmental Report

BT/JN have chased BCC for responses to items previously agreed to:

Path from Withleigh/Somerset Rd through the park: The path is on the priority list for this year and will be repaired this year. BT to chase Claire Adams (community park manager) to let us know the date when the work will take place.

Concrete pond/skate area: BCC own to concrete pond/bike area, Wessex water own the drain.

Event co-ordination team: Emma Channon (EC)/Steve Pearce (SP)

AGM – date to be chosen (agreed last year to hold it end of Jan) and all committee members asked re continuing their roles. Advertise vacancies/where help needed.

Meetings – as previously agreed to hold every 6-8 weeks unless otherwise required, to give people chance to work on their areas. JF to ensure meetings do not clash with Brislington Community Partnership ones.
